What Is Bossam?
Bossam (보쌈) is boiled pork, sliced and served with an array of accompaniments to wrap and eat by hand. The pork is simmered until clean-tasting and tender — not greasy, never heavy — which is why it’s considered one of the more wholesome ways to enjoy pork in Korea.
The Bansanghoe Way
Our Bansanghoe Bossam comes with three companions that make each bite sing: tangy spring-onion kimchi (pa-kimchi), Sokcho-style sweet-and-spicy seasoned pollack, and crunchy radish kimchi. Choose Small (for 2) or Medium (for 3), and add extra pork or sides anytime.
It’s our go-to recommendation for dinner and the anchor of many company gatherings.
How to Build the Perfect Wrap
Take a piece of pork, add a little pa-kimchi or seasoned pollack, and wrap it up — one clean bite that’s savory, tangy, and fresh all at once. Pair it with a kettle of Pocheon dongdongju or a glass of regional soju.
Wrapping is part of the fun, so bossam is best shared with a group. Come for dinner near Jonggak and make a night of it.
